If you own, or are purchasing, a home or business built prior to 1978, there are great benefits to having the paint on your structure certified.

Knowing your paint can save you the unnecessary expense of hiring RRP Lead-Safe contractors to prevent lead dust where there is no lead.

A lead-based paint inspection will determine if the paint has dangerous levels of lead, or if the paint is lead-free. Many buildings are lead-free, or have lead-based paint in only a few areas, such as a door or window.

The recent enforcement of the EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting, or RRP, rules as listed on the Environmental Protection Agency website, has raised new questions from contractors, Realtors, landlords and homeowners alike. It has never been more important to "Know your Paint!"

Choice Property Services

Choice Property Services provides certified lead inspections and assessments in Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Corning, Red Bluff, Redding, and the California counties of Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Plumas and Lassen.  Most testing is done using a non-invasive XRF Analyzer.

State-certified lead inspector/assessors can determine if your pre-1978 structure has lead paint, and if so, where the paint is located. Many of these homes are lead-free, or only have lead in specific areas.
